Valentina "Val" Elenes

Valentina “Val” Elenes (nee Garcia) of Milwaukee, formerly of Waukesha died on Monday, January 7, 2019 at St. Luke’s Medical Center at the age of 74. She was born in Waukesha on December 10, 1944 the daughter of Victor and Hilaria (nee Rodriguez) Garcia. On November 10, 1980 she married her loving husband Rosendo “David” Elenes. Val loved to sing, dance and play games on her computer. Most of all her family was her pride and joy and she cherished the time she was able to spend with them. Val will always be remembered for her pretty and perfect nails and her beautiful smile.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 39 years, David of Milwaukee, her children, Pedro L. Cruz Jr. (Rose), the late Daniel Garcia Cruz, Diana Martinez (Salvador), Dylan Garcia Cruz and Hayleh Gertrude Cruz, her grandchildren, Salvador Martinez Jr. (Chelsea), Antonio Pedro Martinez (Elizabeth), Martin Daniel Martinez (Maria), Victoria Martinez (Javier), Marcos Manuel Martinez, Gina Marie Cady (Kyle), Daniel Garcia Cruz Jr. and Miranda Bridgette Klobukowski (Joe) and her great-grandchildren, Yesenia, Antonio Jr., Emmanuel, Mahlia, Maddalyn, Cianna, Isabella and Elena. She is further survived by her brother Rabul (Neiva) Garcia, sister-in-law Felipa Garcia along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Daniel Garcia Cruz, her brother Victor Garcia, sisters Mary Salinas and Jesucita “Susie” Cruz and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Bridge Church, 1314 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
