Sharon L. Long

Sharon L. Long of Waukesha died on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Waukesha at the age of 72. She was born in Baraboo, WI on March 5, 1946 the daughter of Robert and Ida (nee Bloomer) Long. She was a 1964 graduate of West Allis Central and worked for many years at The Fruit Ranch. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. She will always be fondly remembered as “Purple Grandma”.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Lynn (Mark) Mellantine of Waukesha, her son Scott (Kylia) Kummer of Chicago, her father Robert Long of West Allis, granddaughters Shelby and Stacy of Waukesha and brothers, Robert Long of Florida and Dennis (Diane) Long of Seattle, WA. She is further survived by nieces, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 28 from 1:30 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha, WI 53188. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. Memorials are appreciated to the charity of the donor’s choice.
