Ruby L. Becher of Waukesha joined her beloved husband Leslie in Heaven on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born in Casey, Iowa on March 11, 1926 the daughter of John and Lillian (nee Eakins) Jaeger. On May 11, 1968 she married Pastor Leslie W. Becher Sr.; he preceded her in death on March 17, 2016. Ruby ministered alongside her husband as the First Lady of Genesee Apostolic Tabernacle in Genesee Depot where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School. She worked for the Waukesha Post Office and at Amron for many years before staying home to be a housewife. Ruby enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening and loved sewing and quilting. She found great joy in participating in her Grandparent Caregivers group and was very interested in her family’s ancestry and genealogy. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend.

She will be sadly missed by her children Carol (Ken) Schiebe of Florida, Beverly (the late Don) King of Washburn, Pastor Les Becher Jr. of Genesee Depot, Kathy (Ron) Mitchell of Milwaukee, David Becher of Waukesha and Bill Becher of Waukesha. She was the dear grandmother of Shawna (Jason) Sletten, Shiloh (Heather) Becher, Travis Mitchell, Justin (Kerry) Mitchell, Rose (Alex) Mondragon, Molly (Gustavo) Calderon, Karen Grinder, Eric King and Ashley Kriedrowski and 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother John Jaeger along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Leslie, she was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Grinder and her sisters Betty Ginner, Velma Collins, Shirley Brannon and JoAnne Flores.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20th at Prairie Home Cemetery. Please meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. for the procession to the cemetery. Memorials in Ruby’s name are appreciated to Genesee Apostolic Tabernacle, W313 S4214 Hwy 83, Genesee Depot, WI 53127.
