Robert "Bob" W. Stendler

Robert “Bob” W. Stendler of Waukesha died on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the age of 98. He was born in Milwaukee on July 11, 1919 the son of Frederick and Augusta (nee Sieckmann) Stendler. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Staff Sgt where he led the medical lab at 34th General Hospital in England. On June 5, 1943 he married Bernadine Bieszk and they recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Bob worked for the Wisconsin Telephone Company for many years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 75 years, Bernadine, his sons Kenneth Stendler and Curtis (Debi) Stendler, grandchildren Christopher (Terri), Brian (Lynn), Jessica (Cory), Timothy (Holly) and Keith and great-grandchildren, Francisca, Ian, William, Kaylin, Jia and Kenneth. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his 4 siblings.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Wisconsin Memorial Park-Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield. Entombment will follow with full military honors.
