Meta A. Peters

Meta A. Peters of Waukesha died on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at LindenGrove in Waukesha at the age of 89. She was born in Fond du Lac on September 19, 1929 the daughter of William and Norma Verdien. On November 22, 1948 she married Robert J. Peters in Waupun, WI; he preceded her in death on May 7, 2010. Together they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, visiting every state but Hawaii and taking many bus tours. They also found enjoyment in going out to eat together and attending almost every movie in the theaters. Meta enjoyed gambling, playing games, especially Sheepshead with her friends at the Silvernail Apartments. As she aged, she found great joy in her daily phone calls from her son.

She will be sadly missed by her son Robert (Jennifer) Peters, Jr. of Ewen, MI; grandson, Cory (Danielle) Peters of Sullivan, dear friend Ruby Kraus and family, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert (Rose) Verdien, William (Barbara) Verdien, Eugene (Yoshi) Verdien and sister Geri (Bruce) Boettcher.
