Martha "Marty" S. Liessmann

Martha “Marty” S. Liessmann of Waukesha died on Monday, April 8, 2019 at her residence at Avalon Square at the age of 90. She was born in Milwaukee on April 2, 1929 the daughter of Gerhard and Estella (nee Claussen) Schneider. Marty grew up in Brookfield and was a 1950 graduate of Carroll College majoring in English and Drama with a minor in Speech and Spanish.
In college she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Following her graduation, she married Ohland W. Liessmann in 1950 in Lake Mills and together they travelled extensively through Ohland’s work.

She will be sadly missed by her son Mark R. Liessmann of Waukesha, two grandchildren, Justin Liessmann and Kelly Liessmann along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ohland in 1993.

Honoring Marty’s wishes, no services will be held.
