Margaret Schipp

Waukesha-Margaret J. Schipp, lifetime Waukesha resident, died on her 90th birthday, Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 10, 1918 in Waukesha to Martin and Ludmilla (nee: Kobak) Horwith. She was a 1936 graduate of Waukesha High School. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Christian Women. She had worked out of her home as a professional seamstress and later was employed at Carroll College. Margaret was an avid gardener. She will be missed by her daughter Mary (Carl) Petersen of the Town of Genesee, grandchildren Kathryn (Eric) Simpson of Golden Valley, MN and Matthew (Sandy) Barksdale of Milwaukee, great grandchildren Riley Simpson and Henry Barksdale. She is further survived by her sister Lorraine Horwith of Waukesha, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Schipp on March 31, 1999 and sister Elizabeth "Betty" McHalsky. Private services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
