Lisa C. Kante (Nee Haht)

February 27, 1960 — November 4, 2021

Lisa Charlotte Kante (née Haht) passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021. Lisa was born in Milwaukee on February 27, 1960. She graduated from Brookfield Central High School and earned her degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Lisa spent her professional life in a number of arenas which always included her being a leader and also caring for others.

Lisa was a person who was a true inspiration to everyone who was lucky enough to be part of her life. She loved picking people up when they were down, making a sick person smile, making a sad person laugh, and comforting anyone around her who seemed to be hurting. She was selfless and compassionate unlike any other.

Lisa loved to travel. Her sense of adventure was unmatched. Whether riding an elephant in the African safari or climbing waterfalls in Jamaica her love of new adventures never ceased.

When she was not off exploring the world, she loved more than anything to spend time with her treasured family and friends. She loved to dance and play and laugh with all of them - but most of all she loved to love.

She dedicated herself to her community and to her jobs but in the biggest way she dedicated herself to her wonderful and supportive friends - and most of all she dedicated herself to her family. She was the pride and joy of her parents and of her older siblings. She cared for each of them so deeply. She helped raise her nieces and nephews and each of them are who they are because of her influence. She spoiled her great nieces and great nephews in a way that only the greatest of aunts can. She was the strongest rock of the family’s foundation.

Lisa is survived by her brother Bill Haht, sisters Joanne (Dennis) Fisher and Nancy (George) Hoglund and her nieces and nephews Lindsay (Brian) Krumsee, Erik Fisher, Nichole (Mark) Pietila, Mark (Ashley) Hoglund and Scott (Dulce) Fisher - and her great nieces and nephews Leo, Seanna, Chet, Sam, Parker, Tessa, Georgia, Thomas, Lacey and Scout. She is further survived by her former husband and lifelong friend, Jeff Kante.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9th from 1:00pm until the 3:00pm memorial service at Wisconsin Memorial Park-Chapel of the Chimes (Main Building), 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53005.
