Kaylah Lynn Landess

Kaylah Lynn Landess of Mukwonago found peace on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the age of 18. She was born in Waukesha on April 1, 2000 the daughter of Scott Landess and Michelle (nee Basaldua) Landess. Kaylah was a 2018 graduate of Mukwonago High School and was looking forward to attending North Central University in Minnesota this fall. She had a strong faith and was very active at Bridge Church. Kaylah loved game nights with her church friends and was profoundly impacted by her recent mission trip to Haiti through Bridge Church. She was goal-oriented, driven and was dedicated to her job at Walmart in Mukwonago. Kaylah loved music, fishing, going to the movies and unicorns. Her smile could light up the room and she always put others before herself. Kaylah will always be remembered for her love, leadership, zest for life, her beautiful smile, the impact she made on many, as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend.

She will be forever missed by her loving parents, Scott Landess of Waukesha and Michelle Landess of Mukwonago, her beloved brother and sisters, Kodi (fiancée Jared Swanson) Landess of Iowa, Kyndra Landess of Mukwonago and Kolten Landess of Mukwonago, her proud grandparents, Sharon and Bob Basaldua of Mukwonago, Bryon (Beth) Landess of Hartford and Betty (Darin) Bockman of Wausau. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, her church family at Bridge Church, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until time of the 3:00 p.m. memorial service at Bridge Church, 1314 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Burial will be at a later date at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Mukwonago. Due to the impact and love Kaylah had for her mission trip to Haiti, in lieu of flowers, memorials in her name are appreciated to Bridge Church for a scholarship fund to be established in her memory.
