Janet Ann Hilgen, 68, of Waukesha, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at her home. She was born September 10, 1953 the daughter of John M. and Orletta (nee Melius) Niedercorn. Janet was a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School and Catholic Memorial High School. After high school she enjoyed her career in the service industry as a waitress at Meurer's, Mary's, and George Webb. She was especially fond of the time that she and her husband, Herbert, ran a lodge in Rhinelander.
She is survived by her loving sons Andrew "Drew" Niedercorn of Madison, and Derek (Celeste) Taylor of Oshkosh, grandchildren Lauren, Olivia, Nevaeh, Silas, Ezekiel, Avi, and Asher, her brother Thomas Niedercorn of Whitewater, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Herbert who died April 2, 2019.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date.
