James Lehman

James G. Lehman, of Waukesha, died Monday, April 14, 2008 at his home at the age of 71. He was born on September 23, 1936 in Jefferson, the son of Andrew and Gabriela (Ruecker) Lehman. After graduating from St. John the Baptist in Jefferson, and Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie Du Chien, he attended Marquette University for two years. Jim married Sharon Maxwell on June 6, 1959; she preceded him in death in 2001. After serving in the U.S. Army, he was employed for 37 years at Wisconsin Bell/Ameritech/AT&T. Jim loved the game of baseball, which included coaching for the Rec. Department and the Waukesha Blazers, and winning a gold metal in the Senior Olympics in softball. For many years he volunteered for The Working Boys, and was a lector at St. Joseph's Catholic Church where he was a member. Jim will be sadly missed by his three children: Elizabeth (Kenneth) Gardner II of Waukesha, Michael (Karen) Lehman of Sussex, and Robert (Mary Edmondson) Lehman of Lake in the Hills, IL; seven grandchildren: Kenneth Gardner III and Amanda Gardner, Danielle, Nicholas, Samantha and Sierra Lehman, and Jessica Lehman; two brothers: Dan (Donna) Lehman of Fort Atkinson, and Tom (Judy) Lehman of Watertown; one sister, Mary Lehman of Eugene, OR; and special friends, the Jim and Pat Parks Family. In addition to his wife, Sharon, Jim is preceded in death by his sister, Sue (Gene) Hamner and his parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. A second visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 9:30 AM until the 10:00 AM funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Fr. Bill Key will preside. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
