Douglas G. Kruse

Douglas “Doug” G. Kruse a lifelong Waukesha resident passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the age of 70. He was born in Waukesha on June 30, 1948 the son of Glenn and Joyce (nee Beeheim) Kruse. On May 16, 1970 he married Patricia “Patsy” Kutschenreuter at the Evangelical & Reformed UCC in Waukesha. Doug was an avid hunter, loved animals, reading, gardening, listening to country music and playing cards. Most of all, he cherished his family and especially loved being with his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife of almost 49 years, Patsy of Waukesha and their cherished daughters, Tanya (Chris) Kruse Ruck of Waukesha and Emily (Jesse) Rustman of Isanti, MN. He was the proud grandfather “opa” of Owen and Morgen Ruck and Seeley, Eunice and Gladys Rustman. He is further survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dave (Val) Kutschenreuter, Frannie Kutschenreuter, Bonnie (Brian) Prelozni, Larry (Sue) Kutschenreuter, Jim (Cathy) Kutschenreuter and Mike (Cindy) Kutschenreuter along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Kruse and Joyce Kruse Barbian, and sister Cheryl Ruebesam.

A reception and celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ, 413 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186.
