Dolores Lucille Bulthuis

Dolores Lucille Bulthuis of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2020 at her home at Heritage Court at the age of 79. She was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on April 8, 1940 the daughter of Ernest and Frieda (Bullard) Wiltse. Dolores attended Milwaukee Area Technical College where she earned her degree to become an LPN. Dolores worked as an LPN at River Hills in Pewaukee and later in life worked as a receptionist at Waukesha Aviation Crites Field. In 1958, Dolores married John Sorenson and together they had three children; John, Jill and Dan. Later Dolores remarried on December 15, 1975 to Paul Bulthuis. He preceded her in death in 1995. Dolores had many hobbies, some of which were reading, doing puzzles, needlework, and quilting.

She will be dearly missed by her children, John Sorenson of Oconomowoc, Jill (Dan) Petersen of Genesee, Dan Sorenson of Waukesha and her stepchildren Lisa (Andrew) Bulthuis, Dave Bulthuis, and Trisha (Bill) Meyers. She is further survived by her sister Sherry Lytle, grandchildren Joe (Joyce) Sorenson of Waukesha, Jessi (Aaron) Dyszelski of Linn, WI, Hunter (Paityn) Petersen of LaGrange and great-grandchildren Devin, Genevive, Maggie, Robert, Bowen and one on the way, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents and husband Paul, she was preceded in death by her sisters Joni, Teen, and Billie and her special friend Ken Stegall who passed in 2014.

Visitation will be held at the Randle-Dable Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., followed by a luncheon. Private interment will be at St. Henry Cemetery in Watertown at a later date. Memorials in Dolores’s name are appreciated to HAWS (Humane Animal Welfare Society) 701 Northview Rd., Waukesha, WI 53188.
