David R. Isabell

November 25, 1942 — July 23, 2019

David R. Isabell, of Waukesha, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 76. He was born in Henderson, KY on November 25, 1942, the son of Richard and Elaine (nee Held) Isabell. David was a High School History teacher for 17 years and then became a Financial Advisor for Robert W. Baird in 1983 until his retirement in 2008. He always had a positive outlook on life and courageously fought cancer four times. David enjoyed making fishing rods, birdwatching, reading, loved to cook and was a history buff. On October 22, 1989 he married Susan (nee Meyer) Isabell, who he loved with a passion. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Susan, along with his son Thomas (Kim) Isabell, daughter Kristin (John Crenshaw) Hayes. Dear grandfather of Tessa and Charlie Isabell. He is further survived by his brother Mike (Nancy) Isabell, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Grace Hill Church, N65 W28217 Hickory Hill Dr., Merton, WI 53056. Pastor Darrel Schrock presiding.
