History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

Our History

Randle-Dable Funeral Home was founded by J.K. Randle who purchased Knapp Brothers Furniture Store on Main Street in Waukesha. His son, Harrie, joined the firm in 1900 beginning a family tradition of serving the community in homes, churches and the funeral home itself. In 1939, J.K.'s grandson, John B. Randle joined the firm, and in 1946 after serving in World War II, grandson, William S. Randle became a licensed funeral director. It was under William Randle's leadership that the firm merged with two other local funeral homes, Weber and Hanson Funeral Homes. In 1972, funeral director Martin Dable became co-owner and partner with William Randle, and they purchased the current location at 1110 South Grand Avenue.

Continuing the Tradition

In 1988 Lee Brisk and Cathleen Brueckner were hired as funeral directors. Over the next several years they assumed many management responsibilities. In accordance with Martin Dable's strong desire to keep the funeral home independent and locally owned, he selected Lee and Cathleen Brisk as his successors. Martin, Lee and Cathleen share the pride of independence as well as their commitment to the Waukesha community.

Lee Brisk

Lee Brisk, Owner/Funeral Director

As a lifelong resident of Waukesha and President of Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, I am honored to be of service to the same community that my family has resided in for more than four generations. After graduating from Waukesha North High School in 1986, I continued my education at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha and WCTC. Because I had an interest in funeral service at a young age, I started at Randle-Dable-Brisk at the age of 17. I went on to graduate from the MATC Funeral Service Program in 1989, and eventually knew that one day I would like to own my own funeral home. Along with my wife, Cathy, I was proud to become the owner of Randle-Dable in 1999. In addition to being a licensed funeral director, I also am licensed in Wisconsin as an Agent for Burial Agreements, which allows our funeral home to assist families with all aspects of pre-arrangements. I am a very proud father of two daughters Alison who graduated from Waukesha South High School with high honors in 2013 and now attends The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee where she is studying to be a social worker, and Katie who attends Catholic Memorial High School in Waukesha. She is an excellent student and excels in the setter position on her schools Junior Varsity volleyball team. She also plays on a club volleyball team in the winter. She has played for the Midwest Penguins, Motion Volleyball and most recently for the past two seasons she was with Southwest Milwaukee Volleyball Club .

Thomas Ribbens

Thomas Ribbens, Owner/Funeral Director

I have been fortunate to be a part of the Waukesha community all my life. I was born and raised in Waukesha, attending the old Northview Elementary School, Butler Middle School, and graduating from Waukesha North High School. I continued my education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where I received my bachelors degree and in 2012 I graduated from the Funeral Service Program at MATC with Scholastic Honors. I am a member of St. William Catholic Church where I serve as a lector.

Since I was a teenager, I have been interested in funeral service. As I grew older I realized the importance of funerals and what funeral homes do. Now as an adult, I have the fortunate opportunity to work for Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, serving Waukesha families at their time of need. At Randle-Dable-Brisk I have the opportunity to assist families making their final tribute to their loved one meaningful and dignified. I am very passionate about what we do at Randle-Dable-Brisk, and believe it is important to make sure every last detail is taken care of before, during and after the funeral. I am committed to helping everyone who walks through our doors, no matter what their circumstances may be. Dedicating myself to the needs of families and their loved one, I am honored to serve the community I grew up in.

Formerly of Eastman, Wisconsin, I am a 1984 graduate of Seneca High School. I joined the United States Navy and was on active duty from October 1986 until May 1991. I later graduated from the Funeral Service Program at MATC in 1998, and joined the Randle-Dable-Brisk team in August of that year. Along with being a licensed funeral director, I enjoy holding the position of office manager at the funeral home. As a U.S. Navy Reservist since 1998, I was activated for Operation Iraqi Freedom-Enduring Freedom in 2003. I have not only found it very rewarding to help the families of the Waukesha area, but have been privileged to be a part of the military funerals at Randle-Dable-Brisk.
