Wayne C. Gustafson

Wayne C. Gustafson, of the town of Genesee, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 85. He was born on December 19, 1928, in St. John, North Dakota, the son of Benjamin and Mina (nee Guttu) Gustafson. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For many years he had worked at Payne and Dolan, retiring in 2000. He was a longtime member of Reformation Ev. Lutheran Church in Genesee. On November 1, 1950 he married the former Mardel Hoppe at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Waukesha.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Mardel of the town of Genesee, along with their children Faith (Mike) Lane of Dousman, Keith (Denise) Gustafson of Norfolk, VA, Richard Gustafson of Waukesha, Wayne A. Gustafson, of Waukesha, John (Patti) Gustafson of Pewaukee and Beverly (David) Balistreri of Watertown. He is further survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Lloyd and Laverne Gustafson and sister Clarice Charbonneau.

Visitation will take place Friday, January 17, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 1:00 p.m. at Reformation Ev. Lutheran Church S39 W32887 (corner of Hwys D & E), Genesee. The Rev. Wayne Meier presiding.
