Theresa Lee Heyer

Theresa L. Heyer of Waukesha, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Seasons Hospice with her family by her side following a brief illness at age 56. She was born in Fort Leonard Wood, MO on July 20, 1960 the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Eddy) Dornfeld. She was a 1978 graduate of East Troy High School. On May 5, 1984 she married Charles “Chip” Heyer in Waukesha. Theresa worked for Quad Medical and more recently at Wheaton Franciscan Elmbrook as a patient services coordinator. She will be remembered forever as a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 32 years, Chip of Waukesha and their children, Jessica (Jacob) Bolton of Waukesha, Jennifer (DJ Garrett II) Heyer of Ocoee, FL, Staff Sgt. in the USMC Charles Heyer New Bern, NC and Erika Heyer of Louisville, KY, her two grandchildren, Lilly and Brielle and her mother Betty Dornfeld of Waukesha. She is further survived by her brother Todd (Paula) Dornfeld of Elkhorn along with nieces, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Robert on June 4, 2016.

A celebration of Theresa’s life will be held on Saturday, October 15th from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Restaurant, 1427 E. Racine Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Neurological Foundation for Research at the Medical College of Wisconsin, c/o Department of Neurology 9200 W.
