Susan I Ecker

Susan Ilene (Reel) Ecker, age 67 passed away July 7, 2017 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital due to complications following heart surgery. She was born in Akron, Ohio on August 7, 1949 to the late Roy and Sarah (Hawthorne) Reel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her only child, Ryan Ecker, in 2002. She is survived by her sister, Joan (Tom Diss) of Waukesha, WI and several cousins.
She graduated from Glenwood High School, N. Canton, OH 1967, worked as a draftsperson at General Tire and Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio, 1967-1970, Studied Liberal Arts Program for three years at Ambassador College in England 1970-1972 and Pasadena, CA 1972-1973. She was a homemaker in several locations in Ontario and British Columbia, Canada from 1973-1995; served on the Board of Directors of Anselma House, (a Shelter for Abused Women and Children), in Kitchener, ON, Canada), 1995-1996, worked as an Admin Asst. and Employment Resource Asst for the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Kitchener, ON Canada 1995-2002; and finally as an EA, then Senior Paralegal at American Transmission Co. since 2003 until her death.
Susan enjoyed Christian historical and religious studies, news, reading, socializing with friends and family, art and decorating.
