Shirley G. Pallister

April 21, 1928 — April 6, 2014

Shirley Pallister, of Dousman, formerly of Waukesha, died peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at her home at Compass Point in Dousman at the age of 85. She was born in Milwaukee on April 21, 1928 the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (nee Walker) Mayesky. Shirley was a generous spirit who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was a valued employee for both R.P. Floor and Louis Allis. In her retirement, she enjoyed time in Florida and Door County. She had many hobbies and was always crafting and creating new treasures. She especially loved painting, carving and crocheting. When complications of an accident forced her to give up her beloved hobbies, she persevered and found ways to continue to be creative and vital.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Jill (Mike) Fitzgerald, Robin (Daniel) Olson and Randy (Sue) Pallister. She was the proud grandmother of Lisa (Robert) Lamb, Matthew (Jessica) Braeger and Daniel, Stephanie and Michael Pallister and great-grandmother of Zack and Blake Lamb and Simon and Levi Braeger. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law Marian Dietrich and Charlotte Cronce along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, their infant son Robert John, and her cherished sister Virginia Czarnecki as well as her brothers-in-law Charles Cronce, Walter Dietrich and Clarence Czarnecki.

The family gratefully acknowledges the outstanding care Shirley received from Dr. Gerald Berman and the staff of Three Pillars. Shirley had her angels and she was blessed to be under the care of Jodi Cigelski, RN, and service assistants: Lindsay, Ashley, Jenn, Joan, Judy, and Neu for their loving and compassionate care. Many others touched her life and we are thankful. We thank Seasons Hospice and Cheryl, and Pastor Terese for helping her on her journey.

The road was difficult but her grace and strength were amazing. In Heaven, you will be pain free. We hope that the angel waiting for you has nice shoes Gram. Rest in peace knowing that you were well loved.
