Sherry Jacobson

August 10, 1945 — April 13, 2012

Sherry LeeAnn Jacobson died on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She had reached the age of 66 years. On August 10, 1945 in the small town of Pound, WI Emil and Lida Bonich gave birth to their fourth and final child, Sherry LeeAnn. Her life was almost cut short at a very young age. At four years old, while playing with a friend, she fell into an abandoned well near the family home. Fortunately, her life was spared due to a miraculous rescue by her older sister, Colleen. Her zesty attitude and remarkable “will to live” is what gave Sherry the strength to defy odds and fend off a condition that began trying to claim her life nearly two decades ago. Ironically, the same heart that threatened to take her life daily, also provided the very reason she stayed alive….love. It was love and an indomitable spirit that helped her overcome tremendous health challenges. She wanted to be here for her family and watch as it grew to include the grandchildren and great-grandchildren she loved so dearly. They filled her lap with love, life and laughter! Her academic and employment achievements aren’t included here; recognition wasn’t something to hang on the wall. It was in the eyes and lives of her loved ones, particularly the three most important people she shared this lifetime with; her children: Bob , Brenda and Brian. She was a remarkable mother from the moment they were born. She gave them “heart and soul” devotion. Later, as her health deteriorated, the paradox shifted back. Now it was her devoted children tending “heart and soul” to her final needs of their mother. The circle of life completed itself. She will be missed immeasurably. She will be sadly missed by her children: Robert (Sylvia) Andrews, Jr, Brenda Lee (Keith) Albright and Brian (Kelly) Andrews; 7 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Special gratitude is extended to the residents at La Casa, many whom carefully watched over her; undoubtedly you are heavy hearted too. Find comfort in knowing you filled her life with companionship and laughter. She was incredibly happy to be a part of your world too.  The family is respectfully following her wishes and will not be having a service. A small private luncheon will be held in her honor. If desired, please send a card offering condolences to: Brenda Albright 8745 380th Ave. Burlington, WI 53105.
