Ruth Mickelson

Ruth I. Mickelson, of Waukesha, died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 88.  She was born on October 2, 1920 in Mt. Horeb, the daughter of Olaus and Jeanette (Fosshage) Mickelson.  Ruth worked at the Waukesha County Court House for many years before retiring.  She had a love of gardening, especially growing tulips, and also enjoyed antiquing.    Ruth will be sadly missed by her children:  Gaylord (Susan) Fill of Lincolnshire, IL, Robert (Aida) Fill of Racine, and Constance (Thomas) Jones of Waukesha; her grandchildren:  Alissa (Dr. Rick) Holland of Michigan, Hilary (Chad) Nieman of Oregon, Jessica Fill of Illinois, Cristina Fill of Racine, Pauline (Russell) Sanders of Union Grove, Brittany (Keith) Gormanson of Waukesha, and Lindsay (John) Rode of Waukesha; greatgrandchildren:  Hailey and Austin Sanders; her brother Gaylord Mickelson of Oconomowoc; and sister Dorothy Kraege of Madison.  She is preceded in death by her parents.    Private services will be held at Springdale Lutheran Church in Mt.
