Robert Fank

Of Waukesha, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at his Waukesha home with his family by his side at the age of 55. He was born in Milwaukee on December 11, 1952 the son of August Edwin and Florence Martha (nee Schmidt) Fank. He was a 1971 graduate of Grafton High School and served in the US Army from 1972 until 1975. On August 12, 1978 he married Margaret "Mickey" (nee Looze) Fank. In 1979 he earned his bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin. From 1980 until 1992 he worked for Wisconsin Centrifugal and since 1992 he was employed at Spuncast, Inc. In 1999 he obtained his masters degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Robert was involved in many different organizations. He was active in the Waukesha and Wisconsin Jaycees, where he held numerous offices. For 10 years, he ran the Waukesha Christmas Parade and was Cub Master for Cub Scouts Pack 22. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Brookfield where he was involved in various activities and he especially enjoyed singing in the church choir. Robert loved to travel with his family, enjoyed woodworking, and collected beer steins and stamps. He will be sadly missed by his wife Mickey of Waukesha, his children: Patti "Tricia" (Fiancee Curtis Kemper) Fank of Waukesha and Chicago, Michael Fank of Waukesha and Madison, and Billy Fank of Waukesha, his mother Florence Fank of Grafton, his sisters: Christine (David) Roberts of Eagle River, and Edna (Mark) Hayman of New Orleans, his mother-in-law Barbara Looze of Cripple Creek, CO, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father August Fank in 1978 and his father-in-law Cletus "Igor" Looze in 1994. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2008 from 4:00 until 7:00PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 20275 Davidson Road, Brookfield. Visitation continues on Tuesday, April 15 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM Funeral Service at church.
