Robert E. Perkins

Robert E. “Bud” Perkins, of Waukesha, died Monday, September 8, 2008 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 79.  He was born on September 11, 1928 in the town of Genesee, the son of Elmer and Myrtle (nee:  Platner) Perkins.  He was a graduate of Waukesha High School in 1946.  He married the former Janet Schmocker at E & R United Church of Christ on December 3, 1966, where he has been a member for over 40 years.  Bud worked with the Waukesha Co. Park System, retiring in 1997.  He enjoyed gardening, in which he generously shared his produce, playing cards and mowing his lawn.  For many years he farmed on Center Road.    Bud will be sadly missed by his wife, Janet of Waukesha; along with their daughters Nancy (David) Witt of Hartford and Diane (Nicholas) Roethel of Waukesha.  Dear grandfather of Sara, Emma and Lora Witt all of Hartford.  He is further survived by his aunt Marie Garity of Wales, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Donald, Bruce and Lloyd. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI.  Visitation continues at the funeral home on Saturday, September 13 from 9:30 am until the 10:30 am funeral service with Rev.
