Quintin Sutton

August 29, 1925 — June 7, 2012

Quintin H. Sutton, of Waukesha, died on Thursday, June 07, 2012 at Avalon Square at the age of 86.  He was born on August 29, 1925 in Tea, South Dakota the son of William and Helena (nee Pass) Sutton.  He proudly served his country in United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific.  On September 11, 1948 he married the former Marjorie Krohn in Milwaukee.  In 1950 Quintin graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering and worked for over 35 years as an engineer for RTE Corp. before retiring in 1988.  Quint and Marge enjoyed many years at their Nagawicka Lake cottage and also migrated for over 20 years to Pt. Charlotte, FL. in the winter. Quintin served on the LakesEdge Condo. Association board for many years including the aftermath of Hurricane Charley.  He enjoyed golfing, woodworking and working with stained glass. His last project before the strokes was to build a pool table. Many friends were recipients of his stained glass projects. He was the “go-to” guy who could fix anything. He spent much time in Topsfield helping remodel his daughter’s house. Quintin was able to go on the June 2 Stars and Stripes Honor Flight to Washington DC to see the WWII memorials. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of over 63 years, Marjorie of Waukesha, his daughter Patricia (Matthew) Sutton-Knight of Topsfield, MA and his two grandchildren William and Grace of Topsfield.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother, William, his sisters Phyllis Rose of CA and Rita McIntyre of IL and his parents. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 10:30AM until the 12:00 noon memorial service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.  Full military honors will follow the service.  If desired, memorials can be made to Waukesha Memorial Hospital Foundation, 725 American Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53188.
