Pauline Knoebel

Of Waukesha, died Sunday, December 23, 2007 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 81. She was born on March 9, 1926 in Waukesha the daughter of the late William and Mary Veronica (nee: Carpenter) Knoebel. She was a proud graduate of the class of 1944 at Waukesha High School. Pauline went on to work at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee for 32 years until her retirement in 1981. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church since 1965 where she was active in the Hospitality Committee, volunteered in the church finance office, was very involved in the parish raffle at the St. Mary's Festival, on the stewardship committee, and a parish council member. Pauline was extremely active in the Waukesha Service Club, recently Vice President of the Senior League, volunteered at the Waukesha Memorial Hospital Gift Shop and at the Thrift Shop in downtown Waukesha. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews; Mary Alice (Ronald) Six, Kathleen (William) Wulf, Elizabeth (John) Henigan, Patricia (Robert) Fettes, Nicholas (Susan) Inzeo, John (Susan) Inzeo, Brigid Bowen, Sarah Bowen, Patricia (Brian) Koebler, Mary Ellen Bowen, William (Chris) Bowen, Jane (Frank) Schuller, Peggy (Todd) Lee, Patrick (Lori) Knoebel, Nancy Knoebel, Rick (Linda) Ritter, Paul (Ruth) Ritter, Doug (Mary) Ritter, Judy (Dick) Haney, and Dan Ritter. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Knoebel, along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by her friends, Mary Jean, Sue and Dana, her McCall Street neighbors, especially, Jeff, Nancy, and Stefanie Weinkauf and her special bridge buddies. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother William, her sisters Mildred (Nicholas) Inzeo, Geraldine Knoebel, Alice (Richard) Ritter, and Jean (Ronald) Bowen, and her nephews, William Inzeo and William Knoebel. Visitation will be Saturday December 29, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church 225 S. Hartwell Avenue from 12:00 PM until the Funeral Mass at 2:00 PM. Private Graveside Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Mary's Catholic Church (address above) or AngelsGrace Hospice, W359 N7430 Brown St. Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
