Patricia Briggs

Patricia Graham Briggs of Waukesha died on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the age of 63. She was born in Whitewater to Vincent and Gladys (nee: Stauffacher) Graham. She graduated from Whitewater High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She taught high school at Kradwell School and at the School-Age Parents (SAPAR) program in the Waukesha School District. And she has most recently been employed Waukesha Catholic-St. Williams Campus, assisting with the before and after school program. Patricia was an avid Cubs fan, a voracious reader, enjoyed the theatre and had a special love of cats. She was a devoted mother to Amy (Joseph Gifford) Briggs, PhD of Madison. And she was a devoted best friend to Julia Roberts of Waukesha. She is further survived by her sister, Kathleen Sturzl of Manitowoc; brothers: Ernest (Joan) Graham of Madison; Dennis (Jane) Graham of Cambridge; Michael (Brenda) Graham of Waterford; and Stephen (Linda) Graham of Madison, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elizabeth Graham. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 N. Hartwell Ave. Waukesha from 11 :00 AM until the funeral Mass at 1:00 PM.  The Rev. Howard Haase officiating. Private interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Whitewater at a later date.
