Miriam Elizabeth (Clark) Fordham died on December 8, 2007 in Wittenberg, at the age of 95. She was born on January 20, 1912 at the Fountain Spring House in Waukesha, the eighth child of James Andrew and Sarah Amner Clark. She lived at the Fountain Spring House until she was two years old when her family moved to Bullard, TX. Miriam graduated from Waukesha High School in 1930. She married C. Raymond Fordham on January 25, 1936. She was preceded in death by her dear husband in 1992. In 2000, Miriam moved to Wittenberg to reside at Homme Home and to be near her daughter, Charlene. She enjoyed keeping her family informed with her newsy letters, and continued to write those letter until a stroke took that ability away from her in 2004. She is survived by her son, Larry (Annette) of Rancho Cordova, CA; daughters: Charlene (Gene) Duranceau of Bowler, WI, and Jan (Tom) Schuster of Madison; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Westbrooke Wesleyan Church, 21300 W. Greenfield Ave., New Berlin. Rev. Robert Burchell will officiate. A private burial took place in December at Prairie Home Cemetery.
