He was later united in marriage to Marjorie Rose Carr in January of 1977 at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Waukesha. Milo was employed at Waukesha Engine for over 40 years. He was a 60 year member of American Legion D.J. Martin Post 8 in Waukesha, and enjoyed attending many WWII veterans reunions. He also belonged to NCHA (National Campers and Hikers Assoc.) and Wisconsin Retirees Campers. Milo will be sadly missed by his wife of 31 years, Marjorie of Burlington; 3 children: Dale (Sandy) Evans of Edgar, WI, Debra (Gary) Steinberg of Jenison, MI, and Diane (John) Stasko of Stanley WI; 4 step-children: Gary (Phyllis) Carr of Burlington, Stanley (Sue) Carr of Bessemer, MI, Stephen (Cheryl) Carr of Bessemer, MI, and Peggy (Joe) Shafer, CA; 7 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, and 30 step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Henry "Hank" (Alice) Evans of Juneau, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers: Rolland, Edward, Donald, and David "Newt". Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 10:00 AM until the 12:00 noon funeral service at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 200 Richard St., Waukesha, WI, 53186. Rev. Tom Launius will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post 8 of Waukesha. Memorials may be made to Southminster Presbyterian Church (address above), or to the CAP Fund (Child Abuse Prevention), c/o Children's Hospital, M.S. 3085, P.O. Box 1997, Milwaukee, WI 53201. For further information, please call Randle-Dable Funeral, Cremation and Preplanning Services at (262) 547-4035, or go to www.waukeshafunerals.com for directions or to leave an on-line tribute. He was just a "Common Soldier" and his ranks are growing thin, but his presence should remind us we may need his like again. For when countries are in conflict, then we find the soldiers' part is to clean up all the troubles that others often start. If we cannot give him honor while he's here to hear the praise, then at least let's give him homage at the ending of his days. Perhaps a simple notice in the paper that would say "Our country is in mourning because a soldier passed away."      Author unknown
