June 10, 1949 — November 27, 2014

Michael “Mike” W. Salter, of Waukesha, died on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at AngelsGrace Hospice following a courageous battle against Parkinson’s disease at the age of 65. He pioneered his own company where he created test equipment for consumer electronics companies. Mike was an aviator and loved flying and HAM Radio. Mike received notoriety when he was featured in an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America where he raised concerns about community cohesiveness. He was well loved by his neighbors and he became known as “Mayor Mike”.

He will be sadly missed by his brother Thomas Salter of Ashland City, Tennessee, his nieces Erin (Zachary White) Salter and Amy Salter, his nephew Patrick Salter and his great-nephew Benjamin White. He is further survived by cousins, other relatives and many dear friends and neighbors.

The family and friends of Mike wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at AngelsGrace Hospice for their grace and care and allowing Mike’s final days to be comfortable and dignified.
