Michael "Mike" J. Ronan

Michael J. “Mike” Ronan, a longtime resident of Big Bend, found peace and joined his beloved parents in heaven on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at age 65. He was born in Prairie du Chien on June 3, 1950 the son of Jack and Shirley (nee Noggle) Ronan. Mike graduated from St. Joseph Grade School, Catholic Memorial High School and Marquette University where he was proud to have graduated at the top of his class from all three schools. He was a huge sports fan, enjoyed playing cards, loved reminiscing and had a great sense of humor.

He will be sadly missed by his brother, Pat (Kathy) Ronan of Whitefish Bay; his sisters Janann (Joe) Treuden of Tennessee, and Cathy (the late Bob) Szmanda of Waukesha and his nieces and nephews, Jeff (Laura) Treuden, Jennifer (Chris) Erato, his godchild Jennifer (Robbie) Payne, Jeannie Ronan-Burke and Brian (Teri) Ronan. He is further survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Jack Ronan, his mother Shirley Ronan Pelishek and his step-father Daniel Pelishek.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 10:00AM until the time of the 11:00AM funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, S89 W22650 Milwaukee Avenue, Big Bend, WI 53103. Father Kevin McManaman will preside. Burial will follow at Rural Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
