Michael J. Martell, 56, of Waukesha, died August 26, 2007 in the Town of Vernon. He was born on August 12, 1951 in Milwaukee to Virgil "Bert" Martell and Verneta (nee: Gezeli) Martell-Stabbe. He was a 1969 graduate of Mukwonago High School and received his Associate Degree in Civil Engineering from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2003. He was a member of Bricklayers AFL-CIO Local Union #8 and a faithful member of Vernon United Presbyterian Church in Big Bend, where he was a former Deacon. He was a friend of Bill W. He is the loving father of Rachael (John) Wondra of West Allis, Gregory M. (Sarah) Martell of Frankton, IN and Michael B. (fiancée Shara Kuberth) Martell of Waukesha. Beloved son of Verneta (Marvin) Martell-Stabbe of Tess Corners. Dear companion of Kay Wightman of Waukesha. He is further survived by his sister Nadene (Kenneth) Kosek of Big Bend, brother Scot (Linda) Martell of Mukwonago, former spouses Shelly Javoroski and Roxane Ortega, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Vernon United Presbyterian Church, S71 W23280 National Ave. (Hwy ES) in Big Bend. Visitation continues at the church on Friday, August 30th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Rev. Judith Landt will preside. Burial will follow at Rural Home Cemetery in Big Bend.
