Mary Marchan

February 16, 1942 — March 27, 2011

Mary Ann C. Marchan of Waukesha, passed away surrounded by her children on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the age of 69.  She was born in Milwaukee on February 16, 1942 to Frank and Clara (nee: Wojkiewicz) Dompke.  She received her bachelors degree in education from St. Norbert’s College.  Mary Ann taught in schools in Iron Mountain, Michigan, Duluth, Minnesota, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Bruce Guadalupe in Milwaukee and later in Waukesha at White Rock Elementary, and Hawthorne Elementary.  She retired after 30 years in 2001. She was a longtime faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she met her husband, Jose Marchan through the church’s Scholastic Club. She was a member of the Guadalupe Society and served on the executive board.  On April 24, 1976 she married Jose Marchan, he preceded her in death on March 1, 2000.  She will be sadly missed by her children: Gabriel (Ashleigh Landon) Marchan, John Paul (Marisela) Marchan and Madonna Marchan all of Waukesha.  She will be further missed by her special grandchildren, Marcella and Ernesto. And her brother, Alvin (Bonita) Dompke of West Allis. Nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends also survive.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Marchan and brother, Francis Dompke, as well as numerous friends.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. from 4-8PM with a Rosary Service at 8PM.  Services continue on Thursday, March 31, at the funeral home with prayers at 9:30 AM and a procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church for the funeral mass at 10:30 AM.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Masses for Mary Ann at St. Joseph Catholic Church are appreciated 822 N.
