Marlene L. Brunette

Marlene L. Brunette of Waukesha was born to Eternal Life on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Aurora St. Luke’s Southshore at the age of 88. She was born in Norway, Michigan on September 21, 1928 the daughter of John and Tina (nee Vermeulen) Treiber. She was a 1947 graduate of Norway High School in Michigan. On April 17, 1948, she married her husband of 66 years, Kenneth Brunette in Lake Forest, Illinois; he preceded her in death on February 23, 2015. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church since 2000. Marlene loved reminiscing about the past, going back to Norway, MI and visiting her grandmother’s store there. She enjoyed reading, shopping, knitting, crocheting and cooking but most of all loved being with her grandchildren and family.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Sandie (Jim) Hill, Kathy (the late Ken) Kahn, John (Linda) Brunette and Bill (Lori) Brunette. She was the dear grandmother of David Pindel, Tim (Angie) Pindel, Jackie (Todd) Connell, Chris (Melissa) Kahn, Jon (Kristin) Kahn, Katie (Brian) Zirbes, Bridget Hill, Dustin Brunette and Angela Brunette and great-grandmother of Toby and Anna Hernandez, Maddie and Ian Connell, Maggie, Blake and Max Zirbes, Gavin and Landon Kahn and Stephen Brunette. She is further survived by her brothers Kenneth (Betty) Treiber, Gordon (Karen) Treiber and Donald (Phyllis) Treiber, along with many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place Friday, December 2, 2016 from 9:30AM until the time of the 11:00AM funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 W. State Hwy 59, Waukesha, WI 53189. Father Jose Nieto will preside assisted by Deacon Gary Stephani. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5th at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI 53182. Please meet directly at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. John Neumann Catholic Church or to Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
