Marilyn Konek Vehring

Marilyn Faye Konek Vehring, of Waukesha, formerly of Milwaukee, died on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 70. She was born in Milwaukee on November 27, 1943 the daughter of Gilbert and Harriet (nee Scheid) Konek. Marilyn attended River Forest, St. Paul and Concordia Universities and UWM. She worked as a substitute teacher then worked at A.O. Smith for many years. She enjoyed needlepoint, playing the violin, bird-watching, loved horses and loved her cats.

She will be sadly missed by her son Jeremy Vehring of Waukesha, her brother Jim (Mary Ryan) Konek of West Bend and her half-brother Chris Bunker of Burlington. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother Meta Scheid, and niece and nephew Perry and Annette Konek.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 10:00AM until the time of the 11:00AM memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
