Marian Schaefer

Marian L. Schaefer, of Waukesha, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Brookfield Rehabilitation & Specialty Care at the age of 90. She was born in the township of Maine, MN on June 28, 1921 the daughter of Gilbert and Daisy (nee Craig) Swanton. She retired from Amron after 25 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and of the Ladies Elks Lodge #400 in Waukesha. She enjoyed playing cards and loved to dance. She will be sadly missed by her children, Ardelle (Dean) Gottschalk of Naples, FL, Sharon (Dennis) Ewald of West Allis and Richard Carlson of Anchorage, AK, her eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Adolph Carlson, her second husband Leonard Schaefer, her son and daughter-in-law Alan and Sharon Carlson, her grandson Jeffrey Masche and her brothers and sisters Gilbert (Hazel) Swanton, Waldo (Lenora) Swanton, Carrie (George) Babcock and Esther (Russell) Leitch. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Graveside services will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. If desired, memorials are appreciated to the Food Pantry of Waukesha County, 1301 Sentry Drive, Waukesha, WI 53186.
