Margarita Garcia

Waukesha-Margarita S. Garcia (nee: Saldivar), 83 died, Friday, January 5, 2007 at Waukesha Springs Nursing Home. She was born in Sweetwater, Texas on June 11, 1923 to Elijio and Masidonia (nee: Quintero) Saldivar. Margarita married Salvador Garcia in 1942 and on December 14, 1945 they came to Wisconsin. She was a food service employee and a seamstress at Ethan Allen School in Wales for 25 years, retiring in 1995. She was a Life Member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and well as a member of the Eagles Club for 25 years. She was the treasurer and vice-president for the Lady of Guadalupe Society of Waukesha; and was very active with La Casa de Eaparanza for 15 years. In 1986 and 1989 she was honored with the title " Lady of the Year" for LULAC where she was a 20year member. She was a former member of St. Paul?s Catholic Church, Genesee Depot where she was a Eucharist minister and a member of the Christian Mothers. Currently she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Waukesha. Margarita enjoyed bowling for 51 years. During that time she bowled in 43 Wisconsin State Tournaments and 38 National Tournaments. She enjoyed coaching junior bowlers at the Waukesha Bowling Center and Sunset Bowl. In her later years, Margarita filled her days by volunteering at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her children: Salvador (Cindy Lu) Garcia, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; John A. (Judy) Garcia of Oshkosh; Alfred Q. (Renee) Garcia of Waukesha; Margi R. (Andrew) Lang of Jackson; Michael (Sheri) Garcia of Pewaukee; grandchildren: Salvador (Dana) Garcia III of Waukesha; Jomarie Rose Wyssling of Waukesha; Edward Michael Garcia of Pewaukee; Nicholas Robert Garcia of Pewaukee; Alfredo George Garcia of Waukesha; Shawn Dewitte of Payson AZ; great-granchildren: Anthony Paul Garcia of Waukesha; Jacob John Garcia of Waukesha ; Tiana Siria Michelle Dewitte and Dakota Jacob Clemens of Waukesha. She is further survived by her sister, Irene Molina of Dallas, Texas nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Salvador in 1995; her son Jesus Edward Garcia in 1972; her brother, Victor Saldivar and granddaughter, Christina Michelle Dewitte in 2001. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. from 4:00-7:30 P.M. An Eagle Service will take place at 7:30 PM; with a Parish Vigil and a Rosary Service led by the Guadalupe Society to follow. Services continue on Thursday with prayer at the funeral home at 9:45 AM and then to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Paul?s Cemetery in Genesee.
