Margaret Ellen Swenson

Margaret Ellen Swenson (nee Evans), loving Mother and Grandmother passed into Everlasting Life on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the age of 81 years. She was born in Waukesha on April 26, 1932 the daughter of Blanchard and Georgia (nee Parham) Evans. A long time resident of Waukesha, she earned an undergraduate at Carroll College and a graduate degree from Marquette University. Margaret will be remembered by many as a caring school teacher at Prospect Hill Elementary where she taught for over 30 years. After her retirement, she volunteered at both the Waukesha Public Library and Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, where she was a member. All that knew Margaret were blessed by her kind heart and giving nature.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Jerome Paul (Kristen) Swenson, her daughter Janet “Jenny” (Arthur) Turke and her grandchildren Alyssa, James and Christopher Swenson and Olivia Turke. She is further survived by her step-grandchildren, Arthur Turke, Allison (Troy) Batterman and Aaron (Ashley) Turke and her step-great-grandchildren, Brett and Aubree Batterman and Jarett, Jackson and Jevin Turke. She was preceded in death by her parents Blanchard and Georgia Evans, sister Bessie (Warren) Brought and her dear husband Oliver James Swenson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013, from 9:00AM until the time of the 11:00AM memorial service at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1205 S. East Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Reverend Peter A. Schmidt will preside. Committal services will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 10:00AM. Please meet at the cemetery in the green parking area. Memorials to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church are appreciated.
