Marceile J. Gresch

Marceile J. Gresch (nee Sander), a longtime Waukesha resident, was born to Eternal Life on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Three Pillars in Dousman at the age of 91. She was born in Fond du Lac on December 1, 1923, the only child of Edwin and Lillian (nee Salter) Sander. She was a graduate of UW-Stout where she was part of the Wisconsin Home Economics Club. Marceile was a dietitian for the VA Waukesha Hospital where she met her future husband, John A. Gresch Sr. On July 19, 1952 they were married in Fond du Lac and together they celebrated 62 years of happiness. Marceile was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was active in the Christian Mothers and the Catholic Study Club and was also a member of the Waukesha Serra Club. Marceile enjoyed her bridge club and traveling extensively with her husband and family, but most of all she was devoted to her family and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She will be sadly missed by her husband John A. Gresch, Sr., of Dousman and their children, John (Susann) Gresch Jr. of Tujunga, CA, Michael (Dale Rose) Gresch of Encino, CA and Paul (Maureen) of Nashville, TN, and her four grandchildren Stephen, William and Dylan Gresch, and Jesse Nicely. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Lucille Breton, Helen Baumbauer, and Joan Pospiech along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 9:30 AM until the time of the 11:00 AM funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Father Howard Haase will preside. Burial will be Monday afternoon at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Waukesha Catholic-St Mary Campus, 221 S. Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 and/or Catholic Memorial High School, 601 E. College Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186.
