Lupe Jimenez

Lupe J. Jimenez, lifelong Waukesha resident, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at his home at the age of 78.  He was born on December 10, 1930 in Waukesha, the son of Jose and Felisa Jimenez.  He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.  In 1955, Lupe was united in marriage to Micaela “Mickey” Castañeda in Racine.  He was employed as an auto mechanic in Waukesha for several years before working for Quality Aluminum, where he eventually became foreman until retirement.  He was a skilled carpenter, mechanic, electrician, and handyman, but most importantly he was a good provider and loving family man.  He also loved to travel with his wife.  Lupe will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Mickey of Waukesha; his children:  Ruben Jimenez, Joe (Elva) Jimenez, Maria “Phyllis” (Jeff) Jozefacki, and Sue Jimenez, all of Waukesha; grandchildren:  Javier, Pablo, Danielle, Isaac, Bria, and Ryan; great-grandchildren:  Katrina, Vincent and Devon; sisters:  Ann “Shortie” (late Guadalupe) Cantu, Esther (Robert) Finn, Secora (Elias) Garza, Eva (late Aurelio) Lugo, and Rosie (Enrique) Chacon; and other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his sisters:  Mary (Timoteo) Gonzalez and Liz (Catarino) Monreal, and his parents.   Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7 from 11:30 AM until the 2:00 PM Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha.  Burial will be on Monday, November 9 at 11:00 AM at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, with full military honors. Please meet at the cemetery.
