Lloyd Williams

Lloyd D. Williams, of Waukesha, died Monday, December 6, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 87.  He was born on December 29, 1922, the son of Hugh John and Emma (nee Kohlhaas) Williams.  Lloyd attended Magee Elementary School in Genesee Depot and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1940.  He later attended the University of Wisconsin Madison, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1947.  He enlisted in ROTC Officers Training School and was deployed for 3 years in the South Pacific as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.  Lloyd was a 60 year member of the Dousman Masonic Lodge, a member of First Congregational Church in Waukesha and the Very Poor Golfers Association (VPGA) in Lake Beulah.  He was employed by Cutler Hammer Company for 40 years in Milwaukee as an electrical engineer and comptroller in research and development.  Lloyd was also an inventor.  After retiring in 1987 he became a licensed electrician and continued this trade until his passing.  He attended night school to maintain and update his electrical licenses.  He was loved by all and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.  Lloyd enjoyed collecting, golfing, fishing and could repair most anything.  He did more for everyone else than he did for himself.  Lloyd loved dancing and was a member of Let’s Dance and Footnotes Dancing Clubs for many years.  He will be sadly missed by his dearest friend and companion, Dorrie Clayton; former spouse, Marilyn Williams; his children; Scott (Monika) Williams, Jenny (Terry) Fintel, Connie Williams (Robert Gehrt); grandchildren: Robert H. Williams (Kristiana Zeroth), Shawn Williams, CJ (Lori) Palmer, Christopher and Colin Fintel, Marco Moragon and Anders and Aaron Gehrt; great granddaughter Jenna Palmer.  He is further remembered by Ronald, Susan, Jack and Julie Clayton, Sue C. Clayton, Amber Panawash, Sara, Kadence and Natalie Spencer.  He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sister Jean Marjorie Williams.  Visitation will be held on Friday, December 10 from 2:00 pm until the 6:00 pm Masonic Service followed by the funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S.
