Waukesha-Lifelong Waukesha resident Julio Alvarez, Jr. age 63, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 19, 2006 from an industrial accident. He was born in Waukesha on January 5, 1943 to Julio and Gregoria (Garcia) Alvarez Sr.. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church. He enjoyed Bingo, Pool, Dogs and all animals, his music and Harley's. He was a wonderful grandfather and will be deeply missed by his grandchildren and entire family. He is survived by his wife Kristy (nee Blankenheim) Alvarez; his children: Julio "Chubby" (Christine) Alvarez, Tom (Lisa) Alvarez, Ronnie Alvarez, Robert Alvarez, Rosie (Jimmy) Medina, Anna (Jason) Cleveland and Julio Ramon Alvarez all of Waukesha; step-children: Gina Diaz and Katie Blankenheim both of Waukesha; grandchildren: Julia and Julio; Courtney, Lindsay, Thomas and Michael; Jolean, Jimmy and Jenna; Justine; Diana and Javier; a brother, Andre (Carmen) Alvarez of Waukesha; two sisters, Lupe (Manuel) Villarreal of Waukesha and Mary (Jose) Ramirez of Milwaukee and his mother Gregoria of Milwaukee. Nieces, nephews other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Julio Alvarez, Sr. Visitation will be held for Julio on Monday, October 23, 2006 from 4:00 to 7:30 P.M. at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue with a parish vigil at 7:30 P.M. Prayers begin on Tuesday at 10:15 A.M. at the funeral home, followed by a procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church for an 11:00 A.M. Funeral Mass. On May21, 1997 it became the greatest day of every year because the light of his eyes was born on this day. His granddaughter Julia, known to him as Juwa was born. Juwa and he had a great bond, they were very special to each other. When Juwa is feeling sad she can look up above and will know that her bumpa is looking down on her and smiling.
