John J. Dries

John J. Dries, of Waukesha died November 28, 2016 at age 81. He was born September 8, 1935 the son of Joseph Otto and Eugenia (nee Schowalter) Dries. John was a 1954 graduate of Pius High School in Milwaukee, and a 1956 graduate of the drafting program at Milwaukee Area Technical College. On June 23,1956, he married the former Rosemary Pfeifer at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Milwaukee. John worked as a design engineer for Harley Davidson in the FLT division for 25 years retiring in 1998. He was an active member and volunteer of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Waukesha for 28 years.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years, Rosemary and their children, Allen John (the late Lynn) Dries of Waukesha, Ronald Joseph (Sandra) Dries of Pewaukee, Charles Francis (Toni) Dries of Waukesha, Daniel James (Vikki) Dries of Dousman, and Karen Marie (Robin) Campbell of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Proud grandfather of Alissa (the late Zachary Boyle) Dies, Lauren Dries, Chance Dries, Cade Dries, Stephanie (Travis) Caul, Ryan Campbell, and Olivia Campbell. He is also survived by his brothers James (Lois) Dries of Germantown, Robert (Shirley) Dries of Kettering, Ohio, and Gerald Dries of Pahrump, Nevada, sister Eugenia Dries of Milwaukee, and his beloved great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his sisters Mary Ann, Frances, and Joanne, and his brother Joseph.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to St. John Neumann Catholic Church 2400 State Rd 59 Waukesha, WI 53189 or The Alzheimer Association, 620 S 76th St #160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.

A private memorial Mass and burial will be held at a later date.
