Jesucita "Susie" Cruz

Jesucita “Susie” Cruz a lifelong Waukesha resident passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the age of 72. She was born in Waukesha on April 2, 1946 the daughter of Victor and Hilaria (nee Rodriguez) Garcia. Susie worked for River Hills West Health Care for more than 30 years. She loved to sing and dance and was an excellent cook. Most of all her family was her pride and joy, and she especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Susie will always be remembered for her sense of humor and spunky personality and as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 56 years, Pablo Cruz Sr. of Waukesha, her son Pablo (Selina) Cruz, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, daughter Anita (Armando) Martinez of Waukesha, her grandchildren, Mario Madrid Jr., Jesus Medrano, Jessica (Armando Rodriguez) Medrano, Armando (Alisha Gonzalez) Martinez Jr. and Monica Martinez and great-grandchildren, Yvette Martinez, Victor Medrano, Angelo Rodriguez, Aylah Rodriguez, Leo Medrano and Lorenzo Martinez. She is further survived by her brother Rabul (Neiva) Garcia, sister Valentina (Rosendo) Elenes, sister-in-law Felipa Garcia along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Angelita Cruz on October 2, 2012, her brother Victor Garcia, sister Mary Salinas and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Bridge Church, 1314 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Pastor Todd Pope will preside. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
