Jessie June "Junebug" Price

June “Junebug” Price, of Milwaukee, formerly of Waukesha, died on Monday, April 15, 2013 at her home at the Lutheran Manor at the age of 87. She was born to Charles and Otillia Bunell on June 9, 1925 in Richland Center, Wisconsin. She raised six children with her husband of 27 years, William Price (Bill) and later retired from WE Energies after 20 years of service. As a charter member of HEED (Help Educate Emotionally Disturbed) June helped create a special education program for children who needs were not being served in the Waukesha school district. June was active in her community as a Girl Scout leader for 10 years, a YWCA “Peanut Lady” and longtime member of St. Andrew Church, where she coordinated the prison ministries.

She leaves behind her loving children Linda Brethauer (David), Patrick, Susan Price-Serio (Thomas), Timothy (Kathleen), Elizabeth (Gerald Weber), and Nancy, grandchildren William, Rebecca and Bethany and many caring friends and relatives. All who knew her will miss her friendship and loving guidance. June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, her brother Charles, and sisters Dolores, Carolyn and Elizabeth.

June accepted people as they were and always said that if you see a place where you can do some good, then do it.

A visitation will be held Friday, April 19th from 10:00AM until the noon memorial service and a luncheon at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Road, Waukesha, WI 53189. Interment will be at 10:00AM on Saturday, April 20th at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Christ the Servant Lutheran Church or to the Luther Manor Foundation 4545 N 92nd Street, Wauwatosa, WI 53225.
