Jerome Martin Rockteacher

Jerome Martin Rockteacher, of Mukwonago, was born to Eternal Life on Friday, December 06, 2013 at LindenGrove in Waukesha at the age of 85 years. He was born in Eagle, WI on November 11, 1928 the son of Martin and Evelyn (nee Kramer) Rockteacher. On July 2, 1949 he married Betty Lou Leverenz at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Eagle. Jerome retired from the Waukesha County Highway Department after 43 years of service and served on the North Prairie Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of St. James Catholic Parish in Mukwonago. Jerome loved gardening, being on his golf cart and his morning breakfast groups, but most of all he enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who meant the world to him.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Betty Lou of Mukwonago, and their children, Gary (Sandra) Rockteacher of Mukwonago and Susan Rockteacher of Mukwonago, his dear grandchildren, Brian (Nichole) Rockteacher of Mukwonago, Kevin (Jessie) Rockteacher of West Allis and Rebecca (fiancé Kevin Schmidt) Rockteacher of North Prairie and his seven precious great-grandchildren, Makayla, Emma, Olivia, Taylor, Ava, Lilly and Jaxson. He is further survived by his brothers, John (the late Connie) Rockteacher of Mukwonago and Dave (Kathy) Rockteacher of Eagle along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Melvin.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 11:00AM until the time of the 1:00PM funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Parish, 830 County Road NN E, Mukwonago, WI 53149. Fr. Mick Savio will preside. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 10:00AM at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. Please meet at the cemetery office.
