Jean Staats

Of Waukesha, died on Friday, March 28, 2008 at the age of 89 at the Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waukesha. She was born on June 18, 1918 in Marinette the daughter of Otto and Margaret (nee Bujack) Jenshak. On July 20, 1940 she married Lawrence Staats in Milwaukee; he preceded her in death in March of 1999. Jean attended Divinity Divine Charity Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Alonzo Cudworth Post #23. She was an avid seamstress, and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Jean will be sadly missed by her children: Sandy Staats of Texas, Wayne (Judy) Staats of Mequon, Lorin (Lisa) Staats of Wauwatosa, Curt (Pat) Staats of Madison, and Joy (Marty) Lange of Waukesha; 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.
