Helen Halama

August 26, 1931 — December 22, 2007

Of Waukesha, died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at her home at the age of 76. She was born on August 26, 1931 in Waukesha, WI the daughter of Lewis and Irma (nee: Peters) Rogers. She worked at Woolworths at Brookfield Square for many years, and also at Plowshare Gifts. She enjoyed volunteering at the Caring Place in Waukesha, at the Waukesha Food Pantry, and at the Country Store at Summit Woods where she was currently living. Helen was a member of the Mukwonago and East Troy Seniors. She enjoyed to garden, feed the squirrels, bird watching and loved cats, especially her cat Din-Din. Helen was a big Elvis fan, and also a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, and Green Bay Packers never missing the chance to watch the game. She will be sadly missed by her children: Dennis Zeigh of Delavan, Beverly (the late Steve) Pichotta of Waukesha, Alice (David) Krug of Waukesha, Betty (Charles) Caroll of New Berlin, Margaret Zeigh of Waukesha, Judy (Britt) Wolter of Oconomowoc, Tina (Ronald) LeTendre of Milwaukee and Timothy Zeigh of Waukesha, her grandchildren Patrick, Matthew, and Catherine Caroll, and Toni and Danny Krug, and one great-grandson to be named Anthony expected in February. She is further survived by her sister Ruth Karcher of Mukwonago, her aunt Myra Rogers of Waukesha, her niece Linda (George) Morris, her nephews, Roger Karcher and Jerry Karcher along with other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Emil in 1968, her son Emil in 1969 and her nephew Tom Karcher. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 6:00PM at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Rev. Rhon Roberts will preside. Visitation will be from 4:00 until the funeral service at 6:00PM. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery.
