Hazel D. Selchert

October 2, 1914 — August 14, 2014

Hazel D. Selchert, of Waukesha, found eternal peace as she entered into God’s loving arms on Thursday, August 14, 2014 two months short of her 100th birthday. She was born in the township of Delafield on October 2, 1914 the daughter of Elmer and Rose (Wilkins) Davis. She always enjoyed the outdoors, working with her flowers, hunting, fishing and camping. She also enjoyed traveling, bowling and playing cards. She worked at Goff’s Restaurant for many years and Waukesha Engine and General Castings. Hazel was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed people and always said her family comes first, but my friends are my life.

She will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, Donald Davis of Waukesha, Edgar (Joy) Davis of Palmyra, Ann (the late Jerald) Frank of Waukesha, Esther (James) Congdon of Waukesha, Shirley (the late Ben) Kroening of Waukesha, Barbara (John) Wilhelm of Waukesha and Nancy (the late) Lee Smith of Muskego. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husbands Clarence Selchert and Harold Selchert, her sisters Dorothy and Jean, and her brothers Rodger and Robert.
