Harry Wild

WAUKESHA—Harry J. Wild, of Waukesha, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at his home at the age of 79.  He was born on June 29, 1929 in Waukesha to Joseph and Eugenia (nee:  Kennedy) Wild.  Harry was a 1947 graduate of Waukesha High School and a 1956 graduate of the University of WI-Madison, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 until 1953.  On August 20, 1955 he married Phyllis D’Orazio of Sussex, WI.  For 53 years he was the beloved husband and best friend to his wife Phyllis.  Dear father of Joseph (Rose) Wild of Nashua, NH and Michael (Mary Beth) Wild of Milwaukee.  Loving grandfather of Molly and Tess Wild of NH, Kyle (Ky) Meyer, Ian and Sean Meyer of Milwaukee, and great grandfather of Oryon Meyer.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Louise Clark. His years raising his family were spent traveling the Midwest as a manufacturer’s agent for several companies.  He retired in 1995.  Throughout his life he enjoyed family, friends, and jazz.  He leaves behind a legacy of love and loyalty, wit, and friendships.  We will miss him greatly. Randle-Dable Funeral Home (262-547-4035) is serving the family. Private graveside services were held Tuesday, December 2 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waukesha.  Friends and family will gather to remember him at Daddy-Oh’s Restaurant in downtown Waukesha from 6-9 pm on Saturday, December 6.
