Gladys Folkman

March 14, 1911 — January 25, 2007

Waukesha-Gladys Folkman, 95, died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Avalon Square. She was born in Kinmundy, Illinois on March 14, 1911 to Isaac and Zetta (nee:Mulvaney) Boston. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. Friends may remember Gladys from 20 years of growing and selling vegetables on the Boston Farm in Genesee. Gladys was a member of the Evangelical & Reformed UCC for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Folkman on March 20, 1984. She is survived by her nieces: Barbara (Richard) Liskowitz of Waukesha; Betty (Dr. Melvin) Leeder of Waukesha; Mildred (Russell) Law of Illinois; Maxine (Al) Lafratta of Florida; great nephew, Wayne Meredith of Mukwonago; great nieces, Lana (Randy) Ness of Green Bay and Linda (Ken) Lurvey of Dousman and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Louis, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers: Eva, Ruth, Edna, Cordelia, LaVern, Albert, Edmund, Louie and Marion. A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2007 at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave from 4:00 PM until the 6:00 PM funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Tuesday at Prairie Home Cemetery at 10 AM. Please meet at the cemetery office. If desired, memorials to the Avalon Square, 222 Park Place, Waukesha, WI 53186 are appreciated. The family would like to thank her wonderful neighbors Steve & Barbara Berndt and Bill and Judy Wegehaupt who, by their kindness and helpful ways, allowed Gladys to stay in her own home in her later years and also to the staff at LindenGrove Health Care and at Avalon Square for their special care of Gladys.
